roundabout

Having lived in Portishead for a very short time I have watched with interest the ongoing debate about Cabstand. I think the improvements are just that but the one thing that has always frustrated me about this area is not where the roundabout has been painted but further up where ( is it Nore Road?) joins Cabstand. Cars coming down from there think they have the right of way and now, as there are pedestrian crossings all around that junction, the traffic is obstructed by traffic turning in to it or into Waitrose Petrol Station. The roundabout would have been better placed here I think

Foxilady , agree with you, although I think the new roundabout works well. It needed something there. Someone suggested we ought to have realised that right of way was to the right - that made me laugh. It is either a roundabout or not and needs to be marked thus, it should not be a guessing game where cars and pedestrians are involved! It needs to be clear to all, and now thankfully at least at that roundabout it is clear. Thank you!
