It is still snowing in Portishead - latest

With most of the schools closed and public transport disrupted it looks like North Somerset has given itself an unoffical 'duvet day'.

Only the brave (or foolhardy) have set out for the city to work but we have reports that many have failed.

Here is an update of the situation.

Bristol Airport say flights may be subject to disruption and while the trains are running expect delays.

On the buses Bakers Coaches Service 66 is operating as normal between Congresbury and Clevedon but is unable to serve Walton Bay and Nore Road in Portishead. 

The service will terminate at Portishead.

Service 121 is unable to serve Wrington or Winford and Felton.

Crosville Service 16 was not operating before 9am but will resume service at 9.05am from West Wick and its.Service 100 is currently not operating. 

First has suspended all bus services in Bristol. 

Long Ashton Park and Ride and the Airport Flyer are still operating normal routes.

Services 102, 126, 354, 357, 358, 359, 361, 362, 363 and X21/X22 are suspended.

Service 353 and X1 are operating the normal route but subject to delay.

Service 352 is unable to serve Upper Bristol Road.

Service 125/X25 is unable to serve hill areas of Portishead and Clevedon.

At Weston-super-Mare Service 1 is suspended and Service 5 is unable is to serve between Albert Quadrant to the Queensway.

Service 14 is unable to serve Locking Castle and St Georges at Pastures Avenue and operating direct to Tesco Express (Maltlands).

North Somerset Coaches Service X54 is delayed into Bristol.

Service 55 will operate at 9.55am from Bristol to Nailsea but cannot guarantee any more buses to Bristol this morning. 

Service 2C is cancelled due to Backwell School closure.

WebberBus has no services currently operating but will reassess the situation later this morning.

All campuses are closed at Weston College today to staff and students with the exception of  students taking exams
