Register for your child's school place

PARENTS across North Somerset who have children due to start or transfer school next year are being reminded they need to apply for places.

Children born between September 1, 2006 and August 31, 2007, can start at a primary or infant school from September 2011.

For children currently in their final year (year six) of primary or junior school, they will transfer to a secondary school in September 2011.

Parents will be receiving a letter through their child's primary school about how to apply for a secondary school place and the letter will include a unique identification number that will make it easier to apply online.

The closing date for primary and infant schools is midnight on January 152011.

The closing date for secondary school applications is midnight on October 31,  2010.
