Lockhouse restaurant

linzjprice - how awful!!! We walked passed this place the other day - by the Lock gates- one of the staff ( I assume staff as dressed in black with black apron) was talking to a customer at an outdoor table with cigarette in hand! They then walked away smoking - I was dumbfounded! This place always smells of frying as you walk by which is rather off putting! It's a shame as it is in a prime position and it looks a nice place. Maybe they think that is all that matters!

Avoid at all costs!

We tried to eat here today (having purchased a Groupon voucher) to discover it has been shut down. Instead we had 'pleasure' of experiencing The Lockhouse, who owned The Lockhouse Lounge and I can say is.....avoid it! We were treated to a rude and 'couldn't care less' attitude from the second we walked in the door. We waited over an hour for our breakfasts to appear, and when we dared to ask at what point we could expect our breakfasts the manager followed my boyfriend back outside to very aggressively confront him about what he had said - which was we felt we were a lower priority due to being Groupon customers. We and several other parties left at the point, having received no food and we will certainly not be going back. Having now read other reviews I know that we are not alone. They do not have a clue about good customer service (or indeed average customer service) and the manager is downright rude with it. Just don't bother is my advice.

Lovely location, miserable experience!

Tiny portions, dreadfully slow service. The food was good, what you had of it. Be careful if you use a groupon deal, as they adjust portions accordingly, which I think is awful. Will never go there again!

Chilled atmosphere, tasty food and great service

Had a wonderful and overdue first visit this afternoon.

This place is a must for superbly cooked fresh and simple food, excellent service and great relaxed atmosphere. This young venture is sure to grow into a multi-functional meeting place for social drinks, relaxed meals, family gatherings or coffee after a stroll. Will definitely be returning.
