The new Hall and Woodhouse pub at Portishead opened this week

Went here for lunch and could not fault it - lovely comfortable atmosphere, great menu, even for kids, great staff and best of all great food - all Fab! Can't wait to go back!

I asked H & W months ago for a local name but was told they call their owned pubs H & W. At least decoration includes charts and photos of Campbell steamers. Enjoyed my first meal there

Agreed - a name would make sense. Went there yesterday and was very satisfied. Early growing pains caused a slight delay to our lunch order, so they gave us free drinks for the inconvenience. Well done - it's so nice to see decent customer service.
