Coastal Path

Forty years ago my sister Mary Paisey (ex Gordano School) walked the coastal path from Portishead to Clevedon and back as young girls as part of an organised event. Thirty years ago I walked it with my younger sister Rebecca Paisey (ex St. Katherines).
Mary and I have often talked about doing it again and last Sunday with Mary's husband Andrew we got around to doing it. We sent off from the Esplanade at 11.30 am and after lunch on some rocks we finally arrived at Clevedon Pier at 2.30 pm just as the Steve Price Band was beginning it's session. We stayed on the pier for about 30 mins listening to Steve Price in one ear and the brass band playing at the bandstand in the other.
On our way home we tried out every seat for comfort and eventually arrived back at the Esplanade at 5.30 pm. Can anyone tell me who the Roger's Seat was dedicated to ?
It was a lovely walk in lovely weather. Is this walk fully appreciated either as a walk or for all the lovely picnic spots ?

I like the coastal path picture in the gallery as well; it's inspired to me to get to know my surroundings a bit better!

ReportHi Pillshopper - sounds like you had a great time! There are some lovely walks around here, we're very lucky. I don't know who Roger's Seat was dedicated to but I'll ask about.
