CONSERVATIONISTS are holding a special event where people can find out more about trees and wood fuel.
The free event, entitled 'Seeing the Wood for the Trees' is being organised by Low Carbon Gordano on March 25 at Leigh Woods.
People will be able to go along, cut their own firewood, learn about trees and wood fuel and have a go at tree felling.
Visitors will also be able to find out how they can help manage local woodlands.
Low Carbon Gordano spokesman, John Gething, said: "This wood fuel project helps provide some renewable energy for local people and brings neglected woodlands into management benefiting people and wildlife."
The group will also be collecting data on how wood fuel energy is used in the local area.
