A SPECIAL clock in memory of a Portishead councillor is to be put in the town's new library.

Portishead Town Council agreed to spend up to £850 on a clock in memory of former town and district councillor, Nick Brown, who died in March 2006.

It had initially been planned to put a clock in the new £5 million library development at Station Road.

But councillors have now agreed to put the tribute in the childrens' section of the new library at Horatio House which is due to open before Christmas.
