Fit as a Fiddle is a National Lottery funded project, delivered by Age Concern Somerset to increase the health and well-being of Older People in England.
Yoga can help your mind and body cope with the demands of everyday living and help you to keep going. Yoga can help if your health is suffering and help to make you feel more relaxed, happy and less stressed.
Yoga Teacher Jacqui Inglis said: " Yoga is incredibly calming as well as inspiring and great for motivation’, ‘it allows you to be quiet and give yourself sometime with the guilt’."
Yoga is the practice of postures, breathing techniques and meditation. Yoga can help alleviate stress, which can be linked to various physical ailments. All postures can be adapted so you can do it standing or in a chair, lying or sitting which ever is suitable for you.
