Dog Mess

I was interested in the article about the above in this week's paper. I moved to Portishead to retire about a year ago. I now have a dog and always pick up after him. However, my son recently took my dog out for me and walked him around the Marina - his comment when he got back? "its dog S*** alley around there!!" How sad!! Come on dog owners - how hard is it to take a bag out with you pick up after your dog and if there is no bin - take your dog's mess home!!!

Totally agree. My wife and daughter took our dog out a while back, and my wife forgot the poop-bags. My daughter ran back home, got the bags, whilst my wife stood guard over the dog's prize exhibit until she could dispose of it properly.

ReportI saw a lady today at Portmarine not only pick up her dog mess but wipe the pavement too - good job. Sadly some dog walkers are selfish and lazy. If I saw a culprit I would certainly comment, though I'd like to wipe it over their shoes! I think we need photos, name and shame! A lovely walking area is ruined by a selfish few.
