Rubbish collections - have your say

Have you had your rubbish and recycling collected yet? Apparently many places haven't. Is it causing you a problem?

The council says it has cancelled its green waste collection so it can re-allocate resources to concentrate on clearing the rubbish backlog,

Homeowners are being advised to leave their bins and recycling out as normal for collection.

Just seen the black bins emptied AND they took the extras.

Good point , I hope they do as when the recycling was taken they only took what was in the green bins, not two Argos bags OPEN with Xmas wrapping paper which was along side them, this was the case as I had used all my green boxes…

But another note, maybe they cant risk the Lorries down our road as they
Have so many potholes from 2009 and 2010 winter which have not
Been repaired yet..

Anyway , I will renew my road tax this year again !

I took a car load of uncollected recycling to the tip - what a shambles! Complete chaos with all the collection areas full and overflowing and the staff just teling people to dump rubbish over the concrete walls onto the floor of the waste management area! No doubt it'll all get bulldozed into one pile and chucked in the landfill! I've reported the missed collections via the NSC webpage but its seems that nothing is happening quickly! Agree that a rebate is needed.

When they do eventually take it I hope they take ALL of it including all the black bags that will not fit in the black bins
