What is everyone's views on how the Cabstand junction is working out now the signals are gone?
Is it time to take the lights out? Has the council done enough or are more improvements needed? Has it helped the traffic flow through the town or do you think it has made the area more dangerous? Give us your views here!

Economics blog Marginal Revolution mentioned the junction favourably today as a point of "spontaneous order", and there's a video about it too -

Generally, I think Cabstand Junction works well. However, when we had visitors last week, they were very confused about who should give priority to whom, and if there is a rule that if you approach the junction and see a car waiting, you give way to it, and wait your turn. My visitors, although British, now reside in Toronto, and they have this sort of system at nearly every road junction. However, there are proper road markings, and the rule is 'give way to traffic on the left (or right for the UK).
