I seem to remember Portisead spending several hundred pounds for a speed gun about a year ago. What happened to it and why are we so lax about drivers speeding through and around our town?

The Speeding in Portishead is getting worse - from the Formula 1 style start at the McDonalds lights to plain stupid behaviour. On Wednesday this week I witnessed a gentleman in a Black Nissan GTR 'launch' from the Bus Stop opposite HSBC on the High Street - he went straight across the mini-roundabout screeching tyres and within a couple of seconds was near the Pelican Crossing further down the street. A very impressive car without doubt but a fatal accident waiting to happen when showing off on a High Street!
