The local next door dominant cat left us one as a present overnight on the front lawn, I thought it was a bird, ugliest since Swiss Cottage chicken shed which the Black cat used to wait for, longer than he was to the tail, this one was vicious looking and smaller, from the location direction I guess it was from the rhyne, but the weather has been dry so there must be some food shortage, I would not want this one to have been in any baby's pram, nor near a young child. The problem is people's pet animal foods are a great source of sustenance for rats so the whole ecological system then expands the population somewhat, yet only the cats are prepared to repay this by knocking them off as you asked. So far that cat has saved us from about 15 rats and frightened off several mice, just no good at catching crows flying overhead at 50 feet although he tries!
