£37 million to re-open rail link from Portishead to Bristol? Trains to the city in 17 minutes? Surely £37 million is a small price to pay to ease traffic congestion in Portishead? Discuss......

A small price to pay to open the rail link. 17minutes into Bristol? Heaven. Hurry up and find the funding please. For those people working in Bristol this will make a real difference to their daily lives. The council should also do more to market Portishead as a tourist attraction. With a train service like this, it would be an easy and quick trip to make and more visitors will pump more money into the local economy. Portishead, with the lake grounds, coast path and the open air pool is a great place for people to visit!!

Costing Costing costing ... government Law requirements and priority: Rail Road People work Education
Poor old police now the government politicians are to be scared by the BBC Olympics concrete Debt and the police trained vigorously as terrorized men into fear of the public general performance pay Realty, increasing the price of your house out of all reason compared to its 100 year derelict rubble state, although the public do not work in performance assessed,
in case their pensions are less than Sarkozy and right wing Eastern Europe returns to collect back its coal, deliver the body of Egypt to Cairo and the body of Joseph to Tel Aviv and Elgin has to lose his Marbles.

This could have all been avoided by abandoning Windsor's blow torch and getting on with some fresh water instead of spraying it all over people using the streets as a normal walking zone and starting wars in foreign submarine bases. Scotland.
The political system has finally grounded itself and Brutus will have to put up his dagger and surrender the campaign. The only thing the police tend to be scared of is their mothers and Kirstie Allsopp's sledge hammer price rise.

Perhaps they could use the Dome as a Mausoleum (Turkish Persian and don't we all know what horror that has caused in recent years, the Greek Empire is not returning to University to teach politics) instead of racing around and around in smaller circles to prove their supremacy over each other.
Eventually the conservatives will have every police officer believing every citizen on a pension is a terrorist and all grandmothers parking their trolleys are actually collecting antiques not just polishing somebody else' silver plate. Totally Paranoid, this has been going on since they were denying their own being and arresting the Wise Men for free tourism to see God.

When are we going to get on with some work instead being "buried alive" at 3 years old in our grandparents' old waste tip?
I am not inheriting the pig sty at Swiss Cottage in 1967 1979 nor 1981 even if it does look like the home of a Cheltenham Moslem British security zone at date, and it ended then.
The one time College of Art and Design which was open, now looks like a copy of GCHQ.

To get to some rational behaviour ...
Why are they not jacking a culvert under the M5 for the A369 Portishead Bristol, with a couple of roundabouts for those who want to tear up and down motorways everyday. Engineering can do it, politics cannot.
There is more terror and death by fire on the M5 Avon Bridge each day than in London in ten years. It ruins the surface cladding and the tarmac strips off the steel. Sort of British ode to the recent decades. Can we get a grip as to what is really necessary and stop all this prattling about "saving face" with the Chinese Japanese businessman.

That is of course the past, if they had run the motorway on the ridge from Michaelwood leapt the Avon Gorge at a low western level run down the ridge and out across Mendip Blackdown Hills and linked with the long overdue M3, failing that a central motorway instead of a broken down M1 that has had to have M11 and A1m added to it, with a nice link for the dock at Avonmouth which could have been further dug in the existing industrial estates for the trucks and international trade, instead of digging it in the bog and ruining several people's lives as Harold Wilson stated re: Dock which bankrupted Bristol City Council PBA and then the rest of the country and half of Europe, we would not have this trouble now. Maybe when Portbury closes alike all docks before it and they leaves another mess behind them as at Avonmouth at date of unused industrial lands with scope for development and empty dock basins then they will build another motorway link and it will happen and the M5 will close down and be dug up or used for landing rescue aircraft, Royal and other followers? Meanwhile we are stuck with the disastrously dangerous M5 that the jolly politicians want to be cheap about and make it into a 5 or 6 lane nightmare and all of it into a 4 lane murder zone where people can make the leap from car travel to environmental bird watch in full view of TV in about 10 seconds as they crash into a Levels ditch, where many have gone before. So if we cannot have a bridge for Portbury village, cannot have a bridge for the A369, perhaps we could tunnel under as has been done elsewhere, 2 roundabouts and Avonmouth Portbury may continue on its merry way (it could even have its own internal bridge across the Avon as many docks do) and people could drive up the A369 in peace and even walk from side to side. Somebody should have put a steel causeway there instead of the subsiding ramp ready in the 1970s so we could later go under, but then politicians seek cheap shot publicity, fast track, bent bridges. Not much to ask of some forward planning, but then I said some of this in 1967 even before Harold did. Who listens to intelligence from Wales and the Islands, not many, it helped get me a University appointment and the rotten Avon Bridge was not built until sometime after I was in Cheltenham so it bore some fruit and then Glanrhyd fell in. It is all very easy really. So ? "don't do it again" ? they probably will.

Overseeing Technicians and Administration are a group of Law officers that deal with issues of technical work practice and administration legality, between the general public and technical and administration is Law to protect them. University and some other expertise professional do not run technicians as a convenience for money making all contract goes through qualified contractor officers for example Local Authority Planning and Construction, that is why it worked so well. University research and teach or provide consultant on particular works elements when needed, that is why it is salaried as are the Law officers and they work long hours and in inclement conditions, while technicians and admin work in protected zones and contractors end up in the mire so need separate construction rules to protect them, which are not technician. 9 to 5 and part time are technicians, to become one you need to attend a good technical training programme, construction contractors cannot default to technicians, they would be unqualified and yet too expert in their own work, University and full time plus, contractors work all sorts of hours to get the job done. Choose your position become expert and stay in what you know best. We do not supervise technicians the head of the office does by law and work practice, technicians, library and admin go home at the day end not hang about the University and technicians prefer their own coffee room so they can have some privacy during the day, staff often get no coffee and sometimes no lunch, that would sacre a techncian stiff as they have to stay in the work area for long hours and need a set break for their own protection. University does not haul technicians around the countryside and make them to do the work, TV evidently does, for political persuasion of the general public who would rather not know. Read a newspaper at least you can recycle it afterwards into pulp, books last longer, that way the country gets to use its carefully planted resources and new trees replace rotten ones, work for people in the countryside so they can stay at home in freedom and peace from molesting politics. That is what I did and kept away from the family arguments about who is the best. I am not the best teacher in the relatives, most of whom have gone, but I am just University research appointed and so were others, for your good for 44 years decision taken.

Politicians play on their violins a lot in the BBC as Rome burns, as Nero was want to get some peace for himself, so nothing to worry about one can always ply one's TM taught trade there, predicting wealth for a few with guns and armies. There are a lot of potholes along the Roman road, between every set of cobblers, cobbled, the big one each end of the Bristol ring road south, a giant one at north Bristol, a waste pothole at Ashton Gate, several potholes on Mendip visited by sewage ridden cavers, last time they did this many potholes in high speed rail track with bodies in them and previously the bottom of the Somme funded by government grants re-directed to projects that turn students into Privateers for Drake's Plymouth systematics. It will take Triple Time paid 3 times as many labourers weekend fast track determined by public demand rioters in large traffic queues years to fill those in, from Birmingham subsidence to iron tips Wales, that is 10 times for those who do Mathematics all day allowing for VAT and a discount and it may be finished early ... we have only been waiting since 1977 for contracts to be honoured and in Portishead that was just half a school capacity that was needed in 1977 in 1994 although that was arranged by others selling satellites to South American marshes at high French rocketing prices, where people dig for Louisiana or victory in rubbish soils. Now Donaldson can find out the sources of his disease programme for money making at high grade in Mexican USA private company farms, factories, Bhopal ? Grant bidding during political crisis, a virus throughout England.
