What do people think about the new houses on the ashlands waterfront?

Lots of new houses - from Flats at the Marina end to the 'Balamory' coloured houses overlooking the Nature Reserve and Lake - were you after an opinion on any in particular? I walk my dog (and yes I do pick up it's poo!) around the area and think that its coming along nicely but wish they would hurry up and finish building!

I think some of the flats are still for sale and there are show homes - easy to find if you visit the area. Agree that the waterfront homes will have great views.

I wonder if the people who purchased the rather expensive £500K and above properties (the ones with the brown facia boards) behind the current building work on the lockside, realised that the building would resemble from a distance the old Power Station A & B structures. Was this an intentional part of the planning? Very nostalgic for those who used to work at the Power Station.
