Could someone help explain why Congresbury Council, not only gave planning permission for a new skate park for their young people but also gave financial support. Whereas here is Portishead it seems that yet another attempt is being made via a petition I have been sent a link to that urges the council to give consent to allow a skate park in Portishead. I fail to see the logic, the area where they want the skatepark seems to have been left to deteriorate and I love to watch youngsters outdoors skateboarding as I'm sure do many others. It also seems that no financial help is being asked from the council either. Maybe one of the councillors who must read these forums could enlighten me before I choose whether or not to sign the petition.
