After having just gone for a walk around the Marina and thinking what a lovely area to be able to walk....until you get to the end nearest Portishead town when you have to walk/encounter the sh-- from those awful birds that walk around there..there is a sign asking to call a number if dogs sh-- on the ground...but the mess from these birds is absolutely awful ..(equally as bad as the dogs) there should be signs to not encourage the feeding of these birds,,other people must think the same and it must 'cost' to clear this up when it is totally unnecessary.... ??????

Realise you left this post a while ago, but I've just seen it. I know what you mean about the mess.. but I don't think anyone clears it up.. I think just the rain washes it away. We seem to get enough rain for that..

I think it's nice to see the kids feeding the birds it's a fun free thing for them to do. I expect if it becomes too bad with getting attacked by the birds something will have to be done. For now I'm happy to just watch where I walk.

May I add that the Dog dirt is another thing altogether and I'd like to see people fined for that! Dog dirt does not get washed away easily by the rain like the bird mess does.
