Went to get some diesel in Portishead from the Waitrose garage today and there was none. infact the garage had run out this morning. I was told there was a delivery due at 10.45pm. But the garage closes earlier than that! Looks like Portishead has been without diesel all day. In the end I had to go to the Gordano services where I paid £1.47 a litre. Not happy.THis just highlights the need for a second fuel station in Portishead. What does everyone else think?

Yes, I stopped on the way home last night outside of Portishead (in Bristol) and there was no diesel there. Is there a shortage, or are the 2 instances not linked?

I agree there is a necessity for a second fuel station in Portishead and that Waitrose should have some healthy competition. That service station is always busy especially towards closing times when some 'jobsworth' can them decide the pumps are closed just as you approach! Nailsea has a 24 hour station (not motorway prices!) so surely Portishead, with its bigger population, can justify one too?

Should read meanwhile and this site still has no edit button, cheapskate rubbish, like the Microsoft which prevents computers booting and op' from sleep mode since the last 29 000 downloads and the rest of you work for the Chamber of Commerce which thinks it runs Portishead Council so they can re-white line the road and stop playing commercial politics on the rest of us, remember the girl killed by a fast north motorist never found after leaving the rotted private bus system at the dreadful still bad Portbury bus cross over, all this could have been avoided by planning at M5 build and a bridge for traffic at the Portbury site which the Buses would have used as they like collecting money on slow stops. Roll on Sainsbury before your newspaper starts another war then we can ignore the M5 completely and it will just break up into dust. Anniversaries Pah! Remember the damage you have caused.
