Portishead Yacht and Sailing Club (PYSC) is based at Sugar Loaf Beach

The club began in 1955 at Sugar Loaf Beach in Portishead to promote the sport of sailing on the Bristol Channel. More than 50 years on we have grown from humble beginnings to one of the leading coastal sailing clubs in the South West.

Training courses are held at the lake and some racing also takes place on the more sheltered waters of the portishead marina.
