The Lake Grounds Play Equipment survey has made it on the the front page of the North Somerset Times website:

Please take some time to read this great summary of what we are asking North Somerset Council to do; we really need to keep up the pressure......we have these survey results as evidence now that some of our Councillors are going against what we want as residents.

Let's not let them get away with it again!

Having been to the Lake Grounds yesterday, I just wanted to share my utter disbelief at the fact that a HUGE bungy jump piece of equipment has been installed next to the boathouse. Can I just ask: is it me or has North Somerset Council lost the plot?!!

So the Lake Grounds can't have new play equipment because it:
    a) will encourage 'yoofs' to hang around the Lake Grounds
    b) is too high (?) and the residents apparently aren't happy at being able to see the equipment as part of their view (the Council's comments NOT mine...)
    c) will set a precedent for other 'development' to be allowed at the Lake Grounds

Well, I think a large piece of metal scaffolding is more of an eyesore and more of a danger then any of the play equipment that we would like!!!

Any sensible comments about how and why the bungy jump equipment managed to get permission to be installed? Or does it need permission?!! Who knows in this town.....................
