I am in the process of purchasing a business in the Portishead area providing the highest quality procude sourced only from traders in the South West. There are a few hurdles for me to jump before this is finalised but I am keen to establish the thoughts of local people in bringing this business to the people. Products include fresh fruit and vegetables, meats, salads and soups into addition to all seasonal produce. I welcome your opinions.
I wish you luck in your new venture, you will find local people will support local business and produces…

ReportWe had such a business with a similar business ethos (Pippin Harris) until quite recently in the town. I am unaware of the reasons behind its closure.

Sounds great and I will try to use you as well. Keep it good quality and keen prices (obviously I guess). But the more interesting your offering the more chance you have of getting people out of their cars and out of the Bristol commute.
Pippin Harris was good but perhaps could have executed things a little better. The produce outside always looked great but inside things looked a bit ropey. There are good green grocers in the High Street so perhaps more of a high end Deli is better? The Lockhouse Deli never seemed to be well executed so I do not think that can be used as a barometer for Portishead not being ready for a Deli?
Good luck anyway.
