Cabstand lights to be pulled out and used at a congested roundabout in Weston-super-Mare to ease traffic jams. See story below. What's your views?

Okay, so North Somerset Council deputy leader and executive member for highways, Councillor Elfan Ap Rees, wishes to recycle the towns traffic lights. Hutton Moor roundabout has been mentioned as their new home.
Just exactly what is the second hand value of a (hardly used) set of traffic lights ?
Obviously nowhere near the often quoted £800,000 they cost to erect them here in the first place.
Will Portishead Town be compensated in anyway, other than by way of a few paltry strips of white paint at the bottom of the cabstand?
As an absolute minimum the less infirm members of our society should benefit from this debacle by way of a Pelican crossing being installed, or perhaps Hutton moor needs our flashing red and green men as well !
