Waste and recycling services disrupted due to snow

Waste and recycling services in North Somerset have yet to begin in Weston-super-Mare today due to the weather conditions.

North Somerset Council will be monitoring the situation and providing updates during the day.

People are being urged to put out their waste and recycling as normal and wait further advice.

The authority's three household waste and recycling centres at Backwell, Portishead and Weston-super-Mare, will be open, but not until about 10am.
