It seems there's no place like home for residents at Norewood Lodge Nursing Home in Portishead who have rated it as one of the top Bupa care homes in the UK.
In an independent customer satisfaction survey, 100% of residents at the home marked the overall quality of care as very good or excellent. Factors that were taken into account included the range of activities and events available, the way personal food choices are catered for, staff performance, and the quality of the home itself, including rooms, grounds and facilities.
Altogether over 300 Bupa care homes across the UK took part in the survey.
Home manager, Lynne Millward, said: "We are overjoyed to have received such fantastic feedback from all of our residents which shows that they are happy with the standard and level of care at our home.
"We are constantly raising the bar to ensure we are being the very best we can be and that Norewood Lodge is a happy place to be. The whole team here go out of their way to make this happen - nothing is too much trouble."
Amanda Griffiths, head of operational quality at Bupa Care Services, added:"I am proud to say that the overall customer satisfaction scores for our UK care homes are high across the board and improving year on year.
"This is the 10th consecutive year that we have seen an improvement.
"The great thing about this survey is that is comes from the residents themselves, the people at the heart of the home, so to have their seal of approval speaks volumes. We hope it has also provided the local community with an insight into what their nearby care home is really like."
Bupa Care Homes Personal Best programme is an initiative which encourages staff to develop their skills and deliver personalised care to the individual, and drives continuous improvement in customer satisfaction in its homes.
