PUPILS from Portishead Primary School have shown their support for Children in Need by making fundraising merchandise and wearing spotty clothes to school.Throughout the week, the school council, which is made up of pupils from each year group, made and sold over a hundred badges, magnets and Pudsey eye patches during break time and registration .Pupils arrived in spotty dressing gowns, spotty dresses, and even custom made spotty trousers.

Austin Maddocks, eight, from Clevedon, who is on the school council, said: "I really enjoyed making the badges which we sold for 20p each, the magnets were 30p and the eye patches were 40p. So far we have raised over £35. I have enjoyed raising money for children who aren't as lucky as we are. We have also given £1 for wearing spots, and next week our headteacher Mr Scriven is going to tell us how much we raised all together."

Year 4 teacher, Miss Laura Ritchie, said": "The school is always taking part in fundraising events. The badges, magnets and eye patches are a fantastic way to show our support for the charity and to help raise money. The children have enjoyed raising the money and learning about the difficulties other children are facing across the UK."
