Police release image of man following attempted robbery in Pill

POLICE want to talk to this man who was spotted leaving the scene of an attempted robbery in Pill.

Police hope that by releasing this image someone who may know the culprit will come forward and help their investigation.

 The attempted robbery took place at the Co-op store in Upper Myrtle Hill at about 5.50am on Sunday (October 7).

The suspect was wearing a balaclava, which covered the face and had a rucksack on his back. He threatened a member of staff and demanded cash but the shop assistant advised he did not have keys to the safe and was then asked for scratch cards but was told they were kept in the safe.

The suspect ran off in the direction of Lodway Pill.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time and who may have information to help their enquiries.
