Two men have been charged with attempted burglary after an incident in Hambrook on Tuesday, September 21.

A 23-year-old man from Pill and a 33-year-old man from Weston-super-Mare were arrested on Friday, September 21, charged over the weekend and released on police bail until they appear before Northavon magistrates.

The arrests and charge form part of the anti-crime Relentless initiative to  keep people safe.

Operation Relentless is an on-going police initiative to  pursue wanted criminals by Avon & Somerset Constabulary now in a new phase.

Police are targeting well-known and prolific offenders.

This is those involved in serious acquisitive crime like burglary, robbery, taking of motor vehicles and taking from motor vehicles.

At a time when many forces are not recruiting, 24 new police officers who begin training with Avon and Somerset in September will take part in the operation that has seen more than 2,300 arrested during its seven-year history.
