This has been on the cards for years. It was turned down many times. It was in the planning applications for several years.Mr Fowler was not happy when it was refused..Then all of a sudden it was ok.This is one of the oldest buildings in the High Street,at one time they had to keep the facade.God knows what it will look like now.A case of shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted.Always look on line at the planning applications.

ReportMoney, money, money, was the story here,
Money, money, money, planning went on for years.
Planners said it was not on, no, no, no,
Then a planning dispute followed by go, go, go,
Lots of arguments and appeals,
Ends in this done deal.
Is it right for this part of town,
On a busy corner that makes people frown,
Read about planning on the taxi side of the street,
The Florist then got his way, planners got a defeat,
NSC could not say yes to one on specific grounds,
Then say no to another opposite so it was found.
Traffic may be a problem, but really who cares,
Money, money, money, is all that is shared.
