The new Impero Lounge opened in the former Budgens supermarket in the High Street on Thursday.
Members of the Portishead and Bristol Lifeboat were on hand to help celebrate the opening.
To celebrate the opening, Loungers Ltd, which is behind the opening of the new eaterie, is donating 50p from every burger and 10p from every coffee bought at Impero Lounge during March.
Loungers Ltd has transformed the former supermarket into a cosy, retro home from home, in the eclectic style Bristolians have come to love from the group.
Portishead was chosen as a key location due to its diverse demographic and densely populated residential neighbourhood.
Jeremy Burton-Dickie Loungers operations manager, said: "We're really looking forward to becoming part of the community here in Portishead.
" The Lifeboat Trust is a huge part of that so we thought it was important to actively fundraise for this amazing and completely voluntary charity.
" Portishead residents and locals can tuck in to a delicious burger or enjoy an excellent coffee safe in the knowledge they're doing something good at the same time."
Impero Lounge will cater for all tastes throughout the day. Whether you're looking for the best coffee in town, a business lunch with colleagues or a lazy all-day brunch, Impero Lounge is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The menu features everything from authentic tapas, spicy peri-peri chicken breast burger to wild boar and apple sausage and mash… or there's the ever changing specials board. Little people are well catered for with their very own kids' menu.
John Gittings, Portishead Lifeboat Trust says: "We are funded entirely by donations and bequests.
" Donations come not only from the people of Portishead, whose generosity and tremendous support has not gone unnoticed over the past decade, but also from organisations such as the Loungers and we're delighted they have chosen to support us in celebrating the opening of Impero Lounge."
The Portishead Lifeboat Trust is a registered charity with a mission statement "To save and protect the lives of the general public, in particular by the provision of a Lifeboat in the Severn Estuary centred on Portishead. The trust was founded in 1995, after the Portishead Yacht and Sailing Club marine rescue service was closed down after 25 years.
Impero Lounge will be open every day from 8am to 11pm with food served until 10pm.
