A PUB in Portishead is offering a complimentary meal to anyone with the surname Dragon this Chinese New Year.
The team at Gordano Gate Brewers Fayre is inviting all Dragons to dine free on January 23.
2012 is the Year of the Dragon and, for Chinese astrologers, the legendary creature is traditionally seen as a symbol of intense power and good fortune and those born under it are said to be passionate and persistent.
A spokesperson for Gordano Gate Brewers Fayre, Emma Price, said: "We are big fans of Chinese cuisine at Brewers Fayre and we look forward to celebrating Chinese New Year in style."
"The dragon is a creature to be honoured and respected and it will be our pleasure to honour all of those 'dragons' who join in our celebrations."
Guests at the pub can enjoy a Chinese theme night every Monday with an all-you-can-eat buffet for £5.99 which includes sweet and sour chicken and beef in black bean sauce.
