I cannot belive that some people can describe this pice of art as a crime. The Banksy style artwork that appeared on the Travis Perkins building in Portishead has, according to the paper, been described as a crime commited by criminals who think they can get away with anything. It is easy to understand why it can not be liked but it is also easy to understan how art is portrayed in different fashions, this being one of them. I cannot see how a respected and well known artist can be so described. And as to the people who defaced this image, they should feel ashamed. Just walk around Bristol and you will see many obscure and fantastic images by Banksy and then maybe you will see the bigger picture. This town cannot have something nice without disrespectful people destroying it. As for it supposedly leading young people into crime and thinking it is good, being a grafitti artist is a well known profession and some people aspire to this, not all grafitti is good I understand that but some grafitti is art. It shouldn't be shuned to one side, it's as good as any Van Gough or Monet.
