COLLECTIONS of waste and recycling will change across North Somerset during the festive holidays.
Make sure your rubbish is sorted ready for collection changes over Christmas.
No collections will take place on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Years Day across the district.
Crews will still be collecting between Christmas and New Year and residents should continue to put out their recycling and non-recycling waste.
Full details of any revised collection dates are available at www.n-somerset.gov.uk/calendar and residents should put out their household waste and recycling by 7am for crews to collect.
Real Christmas trees can be put out for collection with the first green waste collection in January or taken to your nearest recycling centre.
During the winter months green waste collections are just once a month.
The district's three recycling centres at Weston-super-Mare, Backwell and Portishead will be closed on December 25 and 26 and January 1.
During the Christmas break an additional 40 per cent extra waste is generated, especially as a result of packaging.
Residents are being asked to flatten, fold up or cut up cardboard into manageable pieces and ensure that it's free from other materials such as polystyrene.
Polystyrene can't be recycled and should be put in with the non-recycling waste.
More information about be found on the council's website at www.n-somerset.gov.uk/recycling
